The U.S. stock market rallied to close with massive gains on Monday, rebounding from the worst weekly loss in two years.
The Dow Jones added 400 points, or 1.7 percent, to end the day at 24.601 points, while the S&P 500 rose 36 percent, or 1.39 percent, to close at 2.656 points.
The Nasdaq increased 107 points, or 1.57 percent, to finish trading at 6.981 points.
The Dow and the S&P 500 both ended last week 5.2 percent lower, marking their largest weekly percentage drop since January 2016. The Nasdaq declined 5.1 percent last week, posting its biggest weekly percentage loss since February 2016.
The U.S. President Donald Trump also released earlier his plan about improving the aging infrastructure of in the country.
The plan would see the federal government to spend $200 billion over 10 years for infrastructure, but would also require $1.5 trillion new investment in total from state and local governments, as well as the private sector.
