The U.S. stock market opened lower Friday with weak jobs data and rising worries over a trade war between the U.S. and China.
The Dow Jones fell 212 points, or 0.8 percent, to open at 24,292 points. The S&P 500 lost 18 points, or 0.7 percent, to begin the day at 2,644 points.
The Nasdaq decreased 50 points, or 0.7 percent, to start trading at 7,026 points.
American economy added 103,000 jobs in March, the lowest amount since September, the Department of Labor announced earlier.
The market expectation for the data was 185,000.
President Donald Trump on Thursday ordered the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) to consider imposing $100 billion in additional tariffs on Chinese products in a move likely to add fuel to an already heated trade dispute.
