Major indexes on the U.S. stock market closed higher on Wednesday with decline in volatility and rise in oil prices.
The Dow Jones added 253 points, or 1.03 percent, to end the day at 24,893 points, while the S&P 500 rose 35 points, or 1.34 percent, to finish trading at 2,698 points.
The Nasdaq increased 130 points, or 1.86 percent, to close the day at 7,143 points.
The indexes ended with gains for the fourth consecutive trading day after posting their worst weekly decline in two years last week.
Volatility has decreased and the market has moved into rebalance, expert said.
The CBOE Volatility Index with a ticker symbol VIX, which measures the market's volatility expectation in the S&P 500, was down 23 percent at 19.27 at the final bell trading below its historic average of 20.
Crude oil prices gained on Wednesday with the decline in U.S. dollar against other currencies and crude oil inventories in the U.S. rising below market expectations.
At the final bell, international benchmark Brent crude was trading at $64.31 per barrel with a 2.6 percent gain, while American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was at $60.67 a barrel with a 2.5 percent increase.
