Taiwanese solar companies are seeking to expand trade relations with Turkey in the solar energy sector, officials told Anadolu Agency during recent meetings organized in Taiwan by the country's nonprofit trade promoting organization, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
Summer Luo, founder and chairman of solar energy manufacturer Big Sun Group, said that the company had already entered the growing Turkish solar market.
'Big Sun has already entered an agreement with a Turkish company to form a joint venture to produce solar cells in Turkey,' he said.
Luo added that the company was offering licenses to global partners to manufacture iPV Tracker steel frames with co-branding promotion, referring to Big Sun's patented product, an innovative cable-driven dual-axis solar tracking system which made its debut in 2012.
'The iPV Tracker is able to convert solar energy to electricity for daily needs in the most economical and efficient way,' Luo said.
'We have qualified and [are] qualifying more partners besides Taiwan and China, such as Turkey and India, as our promotion distributors and licensed manufacturing partners to save the shipping cost of heavy tracker frames,' he added.
Luo believes the iPV tracker could also effectively contribute to the growth of solar energy in Turkey.
'We are open to all kinds of cooperation in solar project investment, EPC [engineering, procurement and construction], agent and distribution, co-licensing and trading of our dual-axis iPV Trackers,' he added.
Big Sun Group, established in 2006, is a solar energy manufacturer with customers worldwide such as Japan, China, South Korea, India, U.S., EU countries and Taiwan.
