Turkey raised its oil imports by 38.6 percent in November last year, compared to the same month in 2014, Turkish Energy Regulatory Market (EMRA) data showed on Thursday.
The country’s oil imports reached 2.2 million tonnes in November 2015.
Iraq held the biggest share of oil exports among exporting countries at 32.8 percent during November. Russia and Iran followed with 18 percent and 13 percent share respectively.
On the production side, total refined petroleum products including diesel and gasoline, increased by 31.2 percent to 2.4 million tonnes between November 2014 and November 2015.
During the same period, total fuel oil sales rose by 18.8 percent to reach over 2 million tonnes.
Crude oil imports also increased by 41.7 percent to reach 22.6 million tonnes in the January to November 2015 period, compared to the same period of 2014.
Total production of refined petroleum products experienced a jump of 37.7 percent to 25.3 million tonnes during the same period.
In the January to November 2015 period, total fuel oil sales in the country increased by 14.2 percent to 20.7 million tonnes.
