In 2015, diesel sales increased more than 13 percent compared to 2014 overshadowing sales of gasoline and autogas liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), Turkish Oil Industry Association (PETDER) data revealed Monday.
Last year, total diesel sales in the country reached 24 million cubic meters, compared to 21.2 million cubic meters recorded in 2014.
During the same period, Turkey's total gasoline sales increased to 2.8 million cubic meters up by 7.7 percent compared to 2014. The total autogas LPG sales rose by 5.18 percent to surpass 3 million tonnes, from 2.9 million tonnes last year.
For the month of December, diesel sales reached 2.1 million cubic meters while gasoline sales rose by 7.7 percent to 233,751 cubic meters and autogas LPG increased by 5.7 percent to 248,207 tonnes.
