Turkey's crude oil imports, diesel and aviation fuel imports decreased in January 2018, according to the country's energy watchdog's report on Tuesday.
Crude oil imports decreased by 37.89 percent to 1.4 million tonnes in January compared to the same month last year, Energy Marketing Regulatory Authority (EMRA) says.
Diesel imports reduced by 7.68 percent to 0.8 million tonnes and aviation fuels fell by 9.63 percent to 14 thousand tonnes in January.
As a result, Turkey's total oil product imports decreased by 25.28 percent to 2.6 million tonnes in January this year compared to January 2017.
Production of oil refinery products lowered by 28.43 percent to 1.8 million tonnes. In addition, diesel production dropped by 13.1 percent to 762 thousand tonnes.
In January, total fuel sales rose by 14.31 percent to 2.1 million tonnes compared to the same month last year.
