Turkish Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan will pay a working visit to Moscow on Wednesday, according to a statement from the ministry.
Cooperation opportunities in various sectors including energy, transportation, agriculture, tourism, customs and trade in local currencies along with trade and investment potentials between the two countries will be discussed during the visit.
She will hold bilateral meetings with Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin during her visit.
Meetings will address the organization of 16th term meeting of Turkey-Russia Joint Economic Commission and activities to be held under the scope of Turkey's participation at INNOPROM Industrial Trade Fair as the partner country.
INNOPROM, of which the main theme is “Digital Manufacturing: Integrated Solutions”, will take place in Russia's Ekaterinburg between July 8-11.
Bilateral trade volume between Turkey and Russia amounted to $25.7 billion last year, according to the statement.
In the first three months of this year, Turkey's exports to Russia rose 6.5 percent to $868 million while imports from Russia dropped 9 percent to hit $5.4 billion, the statement said.
To date, Turkish constructing companies has realized 1961 projects worth of $73.1 billion in Russia, it added.
