International benchmark Brent crude traded at $63.20 while the cost of American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was $57.20 at 06.09 GMT on Monday.
On Friday, Brent crude slightly increased to $62.49 and the American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) saw prices at $57.01 at 11.11 GMT.
The number of oil rigs in the U.S. increased three weeks in a row, according to data from oilfield services company Baker Hughes on Wednesday.
The oil rig count rose by two this week to reach 751 for the week ending Dec. 8, the Baker Hughes data showed.
Kuwait's Oil Minister Essam Al-Marzooq said on Sunday the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and non-OPEC countries will negotiate a possible exit strategy from the oil cut decision as he anticipates full re-balancing of the oil market by the end of 2018.
On Nov. 30, OPEC and some non-OPEC oil producing countries agreed to extend their oil production cut for a further nine months to the end of 2018 to rebalance the oil market and oil glut in the sector.
