Iraq exported 104.68 million barrels of crude oil in March, up from 101.38 million in February, marking an increase of 3.25 percent, the Oil Ministry announced Monday.
In a statement published on its official website, the ministry said that revenues from last month's exports stood at nearly $6.68 billion based on preliminary figures released by the state-run oil marketing firm SOMO.
Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad said the total volume of crude oil exported from the oilfields in central and southern Iraq amounted to nearly 100.9 million barrels, while the country exported 3.06 million barrels from Kirkuk, and 722,954 barrels from the Qayyarah field.
Jihad added that the daily rate of exports averaged nearly 3.38 million barrels in March, and the average price per barrel amounted to $63.80, up from $60.94 in February.
Iraq is OPEC's second largest oil producer after Saudi Arabia.
