BP’s subsidiary, BP Trinidad and Tobago (BPTT), commenced production from the Angelin gas field located offshore Trinidad and Tobago, the company announced late on Tuesday.
According to BP, the project was delivered on time and under budget.
The Angelin development, located 60 kilometers off the southeast coast of Trinidad and Tobago, was originally discovered near the El Diablo well in 1995.
The project includes four wells and a new platform with a production capacity of 600 million standard cubic feet a day, marking BPTT’s 15th installation offshore Trinidad and Tobago.
Gas transfer is enabled via a new 21-kilometer pipeline from the platform to the existing Serrette hub.
