Wall Street closed lower on Monday amid a decline in crude oil prices.
The Dow lost 22 points to finish trading at 21,184 while the S&P 500 was down 2 points to 2,436.
The Nasdaq decreased 10 points to end the first trading day of the new week at 6,295.
At the final bell, American benchmark West Texas Intermediate was trading at $47.29 a barrel with a 0.6 percent loss, while international benchmark Brent crude was trading at $49.48 per barrel -- a 1 percent decline.
