A Consortium of US Noble Energy, Israeli Delek Drilling and Avner Oil Exploration approved $265 million for Tamar field projects in Mediterranean sea.
According to Israeli media on Sunday, officials said that the investment will realize in Tamar 8 natural gas field which is connecting to existing Tamar field.
It is emphasized that the Tamar 8 field is sixth production well which is located 100 kilometers offshore Israel, and the field is estimated to reach 3.5 kilometers depth below the sea bed.
'The completion of the well and connection to Tamar pipeline is expected to take around 4 months,' media stated.
Meanwhile, the Tamar field was discovered in 2009 and it has estimated natural gas reserves up to 238 billion cubic meters.
The natural gas is currently being used for the country's domestic need.
