GNE Electricity Production Corp. won the tender for the privatization for a hydropower plant in Isparta in western Turkey with an installed capacity of 2.25 megawatts, Turkey's privatization administration announced Tuesday in Ankara.
The company won the tender for the Sutculer hydropower plant with a final bid offer of 8.62 million Turkish liras.
A minimum bid offer limit was set at 20 thousand liras and the opening bid started at 7.58 million liras.
In total, six companies participated in the tender. After the bidding rounds, Erdoganlar Energy Construction Mining Trade Company along with the winning GNE Electricity Production Corp. proceeded to the final bid round.
US$1 equals 3.97 Turkish liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
