Austrian OMV's net income almost doubled in the fourth quarter of 2018 to €608 million from €311 million in the same quarter of 2017, the company announced on Wednesday.
OMV said higher oil, gas and product prices, as well as higher sales volumes primarily drove the higher income.
'This was largely attributable to higher sales volumes in Russia and the United Arab Emirates,' the company said.
OMV's sales rose by 35 percent to €6.64 billion in the last quarter of 2018 from €4.91 billion in the same quarter of 2017.
For the year 2019, OMV expects the average Brent oil price to be $65 per barrel, and it had predicted a price of $71 per barrel for 2018.
