US’ Southern Power will sell a 33 percent minority stake in its photovoltaic portfolio to Global Atlantic Financial Group Limited for a purchase price of $1.175 billion.
According to local U.S. media on Wednesday, Southern Power’s photovoltaic portfolio consists of 26 operating solar facilities, which have 1.7 gigawatts in total installed capacity.
Southern Power president and CEO Mark Lantrip said the company was excited about the new partnership with Global Atlantic.
Southern Power will serve as the general partner in the partnership with Global Atlantic Financial Group.
