Tupras, Turkey’s only oil refinery, and Turkey’s Middle East Technical University (METU or ODTU in Turkish) agreed to cooperate in the energy sector in accordance with an agreement they signed last week, METU announced on Monday.
Under the cooperation agreement, Tupras will build a data analysis center in the ODTU Teknokent area in which energy projects related to Tupras' production field will be developed.
Within the scope of the university's industrial cooperation, both participants will work together on current Tupras activities as well as in various other energy sector areas.
In addition, the agreement comprises an energy educational training program that will be organized at METU, and will encompass a start up program that the university will provide for entrepreneurs in the energy sector. To enhance the qualifications of personnel, a business incubator facility will be organized as part of the agreement.
Middle East Technical University is a public technical university located in Ankara, Turkey.
