A consortium of Samsun Makina Sanayi Inc. (Samsun Machine Industry) and Aria Technology Investments won the tender for the privatization for a hydropower plant in Balikesir in the Marmara province with an installed capacity of 20.2 megawatts, Turkey's privatization administration announced Wednesday in Ankara.
The company won the tender for the Manyas hydro power plant with a final bid offer of 64.3 million liras.
A minimum bid offer limit was set at 50 thousand and the opening bid started at 63.5 million liras.
In total, five companies participated in the tender. After the bidding rounds, the Akay Construction Company, and the Babacan Logistics, Industry and Trade company along with the winning consortium of Samsun Makina Sanayi Inc. and Aria Technology Investments consortium proceeded to the final bid round.
US$1 equals 3.95 Turkish liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
