France, Germany and the U.K. maintained their spot from 2013 as the three largest electricity consumers in the first four months of 2014, according the the European Commission's report.
Germany took first place, while France followed as a close second and the U.K. was third on the list of the top three biggest consumers of electricity in the E.U.
Among the largest electricity consumers in the first four months of both 2013 and 2014, France and Germany also exported electricity whereas the U.K. imported their supply, the EC's report showed.
In 2014, France exported 11.5 percent of the electricity it produced mostly from nuclear energy, and Germany exported 14 percent mainly generated from fossil fuels, according to the International Energy Agency's electricity statistics.
The U.K. imported 6.4 percent of its total electricity consumption in the same period, the agency's statistics showed.
Smaller countries like Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg and Cyprus were among the E.U. countries, which had the lowest electricity consumption in the first four months of 2014, the EC report reflected.
